5Rhythms Sweat

5Rhythms is a movement meditation practice that offers a pathway to self-discovery, healing, and transformation. The 5rhythms form a Wave: Flowing, Staccato, Chaos, Lyrical, and Stillness. Sweat is the free movement format of the Wave, where participants are lightly guided through an intuitive movement that encompasses five distinct rhythms.

Through a series of warm ups and contact exercises leading us into free flow dancing, we will dip our toes in the world of Contact Improvisation.

By letting our sense of touch be our guide, we will practice the art of being in flow while moving through the dance floor, allowing ourselves to surrender into the present moment.

This workshop is open for all levels. Consider wearing comfortable clothes that protect your knees, elbows and shoulders.

Contact Improvisation: “simple not easy” we will show why basic skills are not so basic.

The project is interested in researching effortless movement through Contact Improvisation and its interdisciplinary expansion into Water Contact Improvisation, Somatic Practices, Axis Syllabus, Soft Acrobatics, and Performance. The word «seamless» denotes continuity or seamlessness, precisely the quality of interdisciplinary practice that interests us. We aim for different qualities of the body to complement and clarify each other in the process, rather than being separate blocks.

Join us for an exciting salsa workshop where you can have fun, meet new people, and express yourself with passion! Thoriq will guide you through the basics, focusing on the joy and connection that salsa brings. Perfect for all skill levels.
